Gundam Base Limited MG 1/100 RX-78-2 G-3 Gundam Ver.3.0 [G-3 Color Ver.]

The G-3 served as a test platform for the magnet coating technology later used in Amuro Ray's RX-78-2 Gundam and other RX-78 series units. It featured the NICN system, an advanced version of the learning computer also implemented in the RX-78NT-1 Gundam NT-1. Additionally, the G-3's thermonuclear reactor received a new laser accelerator, doubling its maneuverability compared to the RX-78-2.

The G-3 closely resembles the RX-78-2, but features a gray and light purple color scheme designed for reduced detection.

- The packaging features a new illustration!
- Equipped with a "mobile armor system" that adopts a new interpretation of movement. Added mobility linked to the inside of the armor parts.
- The shoulder armor and backpack cover are also movable, improving the freedom of movement of the arms.
- The opening and closing mechanism of the shin armor also improves the range of motion of the ankles.
- The core fighter can be transformed and stored inside the body.
- The internal structure is made of paintable material.
