Mr. Hobby Mr. Compound Super Fine (R190) is the ultra-fine/final polishing compound from Gunze Sangyo's Mr. Compound series — the last and finest step in their three-stage polishing lineup (after Coarse R187 and Medium R188, Fine R189).

This is the top-tier polish for achieving a mirror-like, glass-smooth, showroom-quality finish on plastic, resin, metal, clear parts, and painted surfaces — removing the finest micro-scratches left after 4000–8000 grit sanding or previous compounds.

Key Characteristics

  • Grade: Super Fine (final polish stage) — ultra-mild abrasive action, designed only to refine and shine after coarser steps.
  • Texture: Very creamy white paste with sub-micron abrasives — extremely gentle, safe even on delicate clear canopies, chrome plating, polished metal, or high-gloss paints.
  • Finish Achieved: True mirror polish / ultra-high gloss — removes haze, swirl marks, and 6000–12000 grit sanding traces, bringing surfaces to a flawless, reflective shine.
  • Container: 15 g jar (small, long-lasting — a little goes a very long way).
  • Best For:
    • Final polish on clear parts (cockpit canopies, lenses, headlights, visors) after sanding to 4000–8000 grit.
    • Restoring maximum shine on chrome-plated parts, metallic/pearl finishes, or polished armor (e.g., chrome blades, psycho-frame, gold/silver accents).
    • Polishing painted surfaces before clear coating (reduces orange peel and micro-scratches for flawless topcoat results).
